Huerta of Valencia

From Puçol to the banks of the Albufera, the Huerta of Valencia covers an area of around 23,000 hectares, forming a green agricultural landscape with a rich heritage of rural architecture.. It is the ideal place to discover huge vegetable fields, orange trees, huts and the traditional tiger nut crops, the main ingredient of the classic refreshing drink horchata.

Sagunto

If you continue northwards you’ll come across the Castle of Sagunto, which dominates a town that is full of remnants of the area’s rich past, including the Roman theatre and the Jewish Quarter. All of the monuments are easily accessible and free of charge.

Valencian Wine Route

The Valencian Wine Designation of Origin, which is exported to over 100 countries, is made up of 13,000 hectares of vineyards. Every Saturday, at 10:00, the Winebus departs from calle Xàtiva, in the centre of Valencia. It’s a bus that will take you along the Valencian wine route and which includes the visit and tasting in one of the wineries of the Utiel-Requena designation of origin, a cultural tour and a typical local meal.

Route of the Borgias

The Ducal Palace of Gandia, the Castle of Xàtiva, and the Santa María de Valldigna and San Jerónimo de Cotalba Monasteries are the main points of interest on this cultural route that traces the historical and architectural mark of the Borgia family over more than 400 years.
