Netflix signed a collaboration agreement whereby the US ‘streaming’ television platform acquired the rights to broadcast «El Ministerio del tiempo».
«El Ministerio del tiempo» traveled to the sea for the first time. During a few days a few key sequences of the second chapter of the new season of the RTVE series were filmed in the Sierra de Irta Natural Park in the province of Castellón.
The wild beaches of Peñíscola became, under the direction of Jorge Dorado, at the epicenter of an unknown military operation of World War II, in which the Spanish coast played a strategic role. The patrol traveled to a simulated marine of Punta Umbría in 1943, to save this operation.
Traveling to new locations that could bring a breath of fresh air to the scripts and allowed to expand the horizon to new stories was one of the premises for the third season.
Filming has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the regional institutions, motivated by the success of the series combined with its marked didactic character. Thus, the support of the Generalitat and the City of Peñíscola has been definitive.
